| In March 29th,
2007, the 1st Biennial of Contemporary Art of the End of the World will
open in the southernmost city of the globe. The public space will be intervened
throughout: Bahía Encerrada (Closed Bay), the airport, both public
and private buildings, parks, a recovered factory, the old Prison, bridges,
and also avenues. Several public and private institutions from Europe and the Americas add their interest to participate in the Biennial during the celebration of the 2007 International |
Polar Year, beginning on March 1st.,2007. Such an expectation confirms not only the magnetism that Ushuaia raises, but also the surmounting importance of such an occasion organized in a strategic Patagonian spot overlooking the Antarctica. |  |
